Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Strategic Buyer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on

• Develop and drive purchasing strategies for commodities or unique suppliers within your supplier base.
• Select, manage, and develop suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and long-term partnerships.
• Collaborate with global purchasing teams to contribute to and leverage global strategies where relevant.
• Negotiate contracts, agreements, and major purchase orders to secure optimal terms and conditions.
• Support tactical and operational purchasing by managing escalations and resolving supplier-related challenges.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional development projects aimed at streamlining purchasing processes and driving efficiency across the organization.

What you bring

• University degree in technology, economics, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to manage and interpret data (e.g. in Excel).
• Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to see the big picture while balancing operational details.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across functional boundaries and within purchasing teams.
• Results-oriented approach, with high drive, service orientation, and a strong focus on delivering value.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
• Previous experience in purchasing or commercial roles is meriting.
• A technical interest and the ability to engage in discussions with suppliers on technical topics is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset, both internally and externally.
