Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on

• Develop and modernize backend services for user identity in a global digital platform.
• Contribute to the migration of large-scale user data to a new identity model.
• Implement logic for unique usernames and secure public identifiers across the account lifecycle.
• Build and integrate scalable data pipelines and processing systems for reliable identity data management.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional technology and product teams to ensure secure, seamless and scalable implementations.

What you bring

• Experience as a Senior Backend Engineer designing, building and operating large-scale distributed systems, primarily using Java.
• Strong ability to write clean, testable and maintainable code with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Proven experience designing systems for scalability, robustness and high observability, as well as working with large data sets.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, influence architecture and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
• Confidence in taking end-to-end ownership of complex initiatives from design to production operations.
• Pragmatic, results-oriented mindset with the ability to balance technical quality, delivery speed and user value.
• Strong interest in user identity, data integrity and building secure backend systems that enable social and collaborative user experiences
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
